Social Media Lead
Our client is a well-established digital media owner with millions of loyal and dedicated followers across multiple social platforms. With a rich history in podcasting and video content, they are at the forefront of digital media innovation and engagement. As part of their exciting expansion plans, they are looking for a dynamic and experienced Social Lead. This role will involve overseeing the strategic development and day-to-day execution of social content across a all social platforms. ( Insta, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn etc).
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of creating engaging and resonant content that drives social media growth, boosts engagement, and unlocks new commercial revenue streams.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Development:
Maintain, develop, and optimize social media channel strategies.
Develop content strategies for new and emerging platforms.
Monitor social traffic, growth, engagement performance, and brand reputation across all social channels.
Analyze market and competitor trends, staying up to date on the latest social media trends and audience preferences by platform.
Content Creation and Management:
Create, review, and optimize organic social and original video content.
Develop news-led or campaign-led social activities to meet traffic and growth targets.
Proactively identify and improve poor-performing content and social engagement.
Commercial Integration:
Work closely with the commercial sales team to monetize social channels.
Deliver commercial campaigns and define new revenue opportunities.
Provide editorial and commercial teams with strategic and tactical support and ideas.
Influencer and Creator Collaboration:
Keep up to date with influencer and creator trends.
Maintain relationships with influencers and creators who share similar brand values.
Manage a pool of go-to collaborators for partnership opportunities.
Paid Social Management:
Implement and manage paid social content across channels when necessary.
Transform key data into actionable insights to continuously optimize social strategies.
Community Management:
Manage the community and communicate with followers in a timely manner.
Ensure communications align with the brand values.
Requirements
Over 3 years of experience in leading social content strategy and curation, with a solid understanding of social media marketing in a consumer-focused publishing environment.
Proven track record in growing and retaining social media audiences.
Comprehensive knowledge of best practices for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
Expertise in key tools and analytics, including Facebook Business, Facebook Ads Manager, GA4, Supermetrics, CrowdTangle, and TikTok insights.
Passion for creating impactful social media and video content.
Experience with paid social campaigns is a significant advantage, particularly in optimizing impressions and audience retargeting.
