About the Role
Our client, a globally respected top 4 consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Director to lead and develop a new team focused on Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPA) in Australia. This strategic role comes as a response to the increasing market demands in 2024 and beyond. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing a team of up to 8 professionals over the next 3-5 years, with a pathway to becoming a Partner within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Building & Leadership: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing SPA team to meet market demands and company goals.
- Strategic Development: Design and implement strategies to establish and expand the SPA service line within the firm.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and solutions on SPA-related matters.
- Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and provide insights into SPA practices and opportunities.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor team members to foster growth and professional development.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure integrated service delivery and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Experience: Significant experience in Sale and Purchase Agreements within established markets such as the UK, US, EU, or Asia.
- Financial Expertise: Proven track record in Transaction Services (TS) financial due diligence.
- Dispute Resolution: Experience in M&A purchase price disputes, ideally within a Big 4 forensic team.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team, with a focus on achieving strategic objectives.
Education
Relevant degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field; advanced qualifications are a plus.
Desirable Experience
- International Exposure: SPA experience in major global markets, bringing a diverse and international perspective to the role.
- Big 4 Experience: Senior Managers from Big 4 firms with a background in financial due diligence and forensic accounting.
